About This Project
Leawarra Town Planning obtained planning approval for a new community care accommodation facility to the rear of an existing dwelling and land subdivision in Safety Beach. The project required a comprehensive assessment due to several planning overlays affecting the site, including environmental protection, vegetation, and design and development controls.
Located beside Sheepwash Creek, the proposal involved detailed coordination with Melbourne Water to resolve flooding concerns and ensure a safe, sustainable outcome for future residents.
Our team undertook the full planning assessment, liaised with Council and referral authorities, and demonstrated that the proposal met the exemption criteria under Clause 52.22 of the Planning Scheme. Approval was granted by Mornington Peninsula Shire following a thorough review process. This project reflects our team's capability in managing environmentally and technically sensitive applications, achieving outcomes that balance community benefit with strong planning integrity.
